Japan Day 4 Selecting Nisai (March 13th Thu 12th Mar 2009

Above Ogata Nisai Koi from 50cm plus, pictures don`t show the true quality of these koi.







Most of the koi above were 75cm plus in size.





Japan Day 3 More Tosai (March 12th 09) Thu 12th Mar 2009









Today we spent much of the day going through Mr Ogata`s ponds in fish house number 3,where we were mainly hand selecting all our small cheaper koi from 3-4" to 6-7`,then after selecting Ogata`s staff would check and recount the koi before moving them to our holding pond where they will stay untill they are shipped next week,






Japan Day 2 Selecting Tosai (Mar 11th 09 Wed 11th Mar 2009

Today we spent most of the day selecting Koi from Ogata`s number five fish house the pictures above are just a sample of what we bought,sorry about the picture quality but we really did`nt get a lot of time to take any better quality ones.









Arrived Safely Day 1( March 10th 09) Tue 10th Mar 2009

we arrived safely after a 12 hour flight from Heathrow to Narita followed by a 2 hour flight fron Narita to Fukuoka.

We start selecting our Tosai tomorrow from Ogata so should have some pictures to upload.

I will be in Japan from the 9th March untill 14th March selecting our Tosai for this season, I will be updating our Japan diary pages daily whilst in Japan, so please log in daily,you will also be able to see some of the Koi we have purchased,
