Day 3 Ogata Koi Farm Mon 15th Mar

Today we spent most of the day sellecting Koi from Ogata`s better fish house,We also left the farm and visited Ogata`s off site ponds of which many are used for growing on and holding more stocks.Along with many more Koi bought today we also purchased a very nice Sanke which will be entered into the All Japan Young Koi show.Whilst we were selecting our koi we also had the chance to watch Ogata-San selecting Koi as well these were for an over seas buyer and was very interesting to watch.

Day 2 Ogata Koi Farm Fri 12th Mar

Sorry for the delay in updating new pictures, but we have been so busy the last few days and that has left me very little time to update the web site,we have been hand selecting our better grades of Koi from Ogata today ranging from 18-20cm 20cm 22cm 25-30cm,many nice Go-Sanke along with other varieties including Tancho, Tancho Sanke,Assagi,Doitsu Sanke and Showa,Goshki,Orchiba,Shusui,Ogon, etc etc ,We also bought 50 very nice Shiro-Utsuri as well today very good skin quality,i will photograph a lot of the Koi we have bought and place them on the web site as soon as they have retuned to the uk and gone through quarantine,























































































































































Day 1 Ogata Koi Farm Wed 10th Mar

Today i could`nt believe my eyes as i awoke, as it was just like home from home as i looked outside the hotel window and it was snowing they tell me quite a rare happening this far south,

Today was spent mainly hand sellecting all our smaller and cheaper koi from Ogata from 4-5cm upto 13-15cm which as normal provided us with a very nice mixed variety sellection,We also went through another pond and managed to buy a quantity of very nice 28-30cm mainly go Sanke,

Tomorrow we will start going through Ogata`s better ponds and start to sellect our higher grade koi,we also have a pond of Shiro Utsuri to pick from as well so this should be again another very busy day,and will upload pictures of these as soon as i get the time,





























































































After we sellect the Koi we require, from each pond Ogata staff carefully count these and place them into a large bowl on the back of a van,from there they will take all the Koi we buy to our holding pond until they are shipped.













































































































Arrived Safely Tue 9th Mar

Well after a very long day indeed we finally arrived, we left heathrow at 1900hrs Monday evening and got to our final destination Kurume City aprox 11pm tuesday night Japan Time,just in time to quickly nip out and find a nice small bar serving the most delightfull chicken,beef,pork kababs which were cooked in front of you and as you will see these were enjoyed by all.We will be on the Ogata Koi farm tommorow to start selecting our Koi and will upload some more pictures as soon as possible.










































Leaving For Japan March 8th Sun 7th Mar
